Zab Judah is scheduled to fight WBA Super World, WBC World and Ring Magazine light welterweight champion Danny “Swift” Garcia (25-0-0, 16 KOs) in a 12-round WBA Super World and WBC light welterweight title fight on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Barclays Center in Judah’s hometown of Brooklyn, New York. The fight was originally scheduled to take place on February 9th but Garcia hurt a rib during training so the fight has been postponed to allow him time to recover. Judah is looking to capture the light welterweight titles that Garcia won defeating Erik Morales in March 2012 and Amir Khan in July 2012. Judah is a former IBF, WBA, WBC welterweight and IBF, WBO light welterweight champion. 35 year old Judah looked good in his last fight this past March where he defeated Vernon Paris by 9th round TKO but prior to that Judah lost by 5th round KO to Amir Khan whom Danny Garcia defeated this past July by 4th round TKO.

Nonito Donaire defends his super bantamweight title tonight against Mexican warrior Jorge Arce on HBO.
Donaire (30-1, 19 KO) is the heavy favorite against Arce (61-6-2, 46 KO), a Mexican veteran renowned for his grit and toughness, but one many feel is tailor-made for Donaire’s explosive counter-punching style. Donaire is looking to go 4-0 on the year, all fights being HBO main events, and may have the inside track on 2012 Fighter of the Year with a win tonight.
Puerto Rican superstar Miguel Cotto (37-3, 30 KO’s) returns to the “Mecca of Boxing,” to challenge undefeated WBA Super Welterweight World Champion Austin “No Doubt” Trout (25-0, 14 KO’s) from Las Cruces, New Mexico for World championship boxing at Madison Square Garden on December 1, 2012.
Austin Trout already has a 25-0, 14 KO’s record but failed to called out Canelo on numerous instances as he lacks the name recognition power and fans to instantly entice viewers on an upcoming fight. Instead, winning a fight with Cotto will sweeten up the deal to boost his appeal.
Cotto with an impressive record of 37-3, 30 KO has nothing to lose. The only advantage of Trout is his age and skills, an ideal opponent for the hard hitting Cotto. By facing Trout, Cotto gets another chance to pick another title belt in his own decision and he can do so in front of his own fans at the Madison Square Garden.

Former world lightweight champion BRANDON “Bam Bam” RIOS and former featherweight champion YURIORKIS GAMBOA will fight in a Battle of the Undefeated for the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) lightweight championship, Saturday, April 14, at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Manny Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38 KO’s) will have his hands full against Timothy Bradley (28-0-1, 12 KO’s) on June 9 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Pacquiao’s WBO Welterweight title and Bradley’s unblemished record is at stake for this bout.
Since the negotiation for a mega-fight with Floyd Mayweather failed, Pacquiao chose the reigning WBO Light Welterweight champion to be his next opponent.
Pacquiao successfully defended his title against Juan Manuel Marquez and won via majority decision but the fight was considered controversial according to fight fans. Marquez hit Pacquiao with eye-catchy punches but failed to land more power punches which the latter did to win the fight. On the other hand, Bradley defended his title against Joel Casamayor by winning via TKO in the 8th round.
This will be an interesting fight since Pacquiao will be facing a younger and upcoming fighter. Bradley is arguably the best fighter in the 140-pound limit and is known for his effective boxing which may give Pacquiao some trouble. But most analysts still gave Pacquiao the upper hand since he is faster and stronger than the challenger but upsets do happen in sports. If Pacquiao wins, a block-buster fight with Mayweather may happen in November. This promises to be a great match-up between two boxers in their respective divisions.

Floyd Mayweather (42-0, 26 KO’s) will once again prove the world that he is the best pound-for-pound fighter in boxing when he collides with Miguel Cotto (37-2, 30 KO’s) on May 5 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Cotto’s WBA Super Welterweight title and Mayweather’s unblemished record is at stake.
Mayweather, who again failed to finalize a negotiation with Manny Pacquiao decided to move up in weight and face the proud champion of Puerto Rico in Cotto. He recently won the WBC Welterweight title by defeating Victor Ortiz via knockout in the 4th round. This was considered controversial since Ortiz gave Mayweather an intentional headbutt and the latter landed a sucker punch to the champion. On the other hand, Cotto was fresh from defending his title against Antonio Margarito. He successfully avenged one of his losses by stopping Margarito via TKO in the 10th round.
This will be one of the most anticipated live streaming PPV fights this year since both are considered as one of the best in their respective divisions. Most of the boxing fans and analysts gave Mayweather the upper hand since he has the more superb speed and skills in boxing. But some believes that Cotto has a slight advantage given the fact that they will fight at the 154-pound limit. Mayweather vs Cotto live streaming will give the fans one of the best match-ups in boxing and will make Cinco de Mayo more interesting for the Latino fans.

Nate Diaz (15-7, 10 by sub) will face Jim Miller (21-3, 12 by sub) on May 5 at UFC on Fox 3 card at New Jersey’s Izod Center.
Diaz enters the bout coming with 2 of the most dynamic wins on his MMA career. He won over Takenori Gomi and Donald Cerrone that showcases his improved stand-up. This makes him 4-2 on his last 6 fights and makes him closer on contending for the title. On the other hand, Miller had an impressive win over Melvin Guillard. He put the fight on the ground and made Guillard tap due to a rear-naked choke. Miller is currently 9-1 in his past 10 fights and is still among the best in the lightweight division.
This fight will show different styles and techniques from 2 fighters. Diaz has an advantage in the stand up since he has a 5-inch reach advantage over Miller. On the contrary, Miller will have an advantage in the ground game since most of his wins ended with submissions. This is a must-see card which features bouts that includes a flyweight bout between John Dodson and Darren Uyenoyama. Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr (44-0-1, 31 KOs) will fight Marco Antonio Rubio(53-5-1, 46 KOs) on February 4 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
Chavez Jr. is the current WBC middleweight champion which he won from Sebastian Zbik (30-1-0) last year.
He then defended his title against Peter Manfredo Jr. and won via 5th round knockout. He will try to do the same against Rubio, who fought former world titlist Kelly Pavlik but lost via stoppage in the 9th round. But since then, he had won 6 straight and earned the #1 spot in the WBC middleweight rankings.
This will be an intriguing fight since many critics picked the challenger Rubio to win via knockout. In order for Chavez Jr. to silence his critics, he needs to win with a flourish. The WBC is planning a Martinez-Chavez Jr. bout this year if both fighters win their respective fights. This will make the fight even more interesting since Rubio is determined to strip Chavez Jr.’s belt. If Rubio wins, he will deal Chavez Jr. his first loss and spoil the planned fight of the WBC for him against Martinez. This fight will be a clash of two Mexican fighters and promises to draw many Latino boxing fans.
